Benchmate Hyperlink Module -
Real-time access to plant and equipment data with a
simple click of the mouse.
The Benchmate CMMS Hyperlink Module provides instant access to your Benchmate data from plant drawings, documents, photos, etc. Starting with an AutoCAD plant diagram for example, drill down to locate an equipment and click to instantly display its Benchmate Equipment screen. At the Equipment screen, you can view the maintenance history, parts list, jobs and open any documents you have linked to Benchmate.
The hyperlink is a link from a visual presentation of your plant or facility to equipment maintenance data and history in Benchmate and to other equipment documentation linked to Benchmate. The visual presentation and link opens the Benchmate database to all levels of your organization. There is no need to use equipment IDs or enter names in a database search.
Benchmate Hyperlink
A hyperlink (link) is simply a way to 'jump' from a reference point to related data – often in another document. Links are typically indicated by special fonts, color, underline, etc. Hyperlinks can be created in many common documents such as: AutoCAD, Adobe PDF, MS Word, Excel, Google Maps & Earth.
Once a link is clicked, the associated command is sent to the Windows Registry where it is routed to the Benchmate Link module (BmateLnk). BmateLnk responds by passing the command to Benchmate CMMS to open the screen associated with the command.

Link commands can direct Benchmate CMMS to display:
- Equipment Screen,
- Spare Parts Screen,
- List of Equipment belonging to a Building or
- List of Equipment belonging to a Cost Center.
An Equipment Screen can serve as a 'gateway' to Benchmate.
A single click shows the:
- Equipment maintenance history,
- List of documents linked to equipment or,
- Menu to create a maintenance request, record unplanned maintenance activity or close a job.
